2022 COMMUNITY VISITATION DARIES

WE’RE GOING TO THE WESTERN NORTH AND ASHANTI REGIONS OF GHANA
It is only the desire to show love to the underprivileged that will drive us to travel over 401 minutes by road to communities in the Western North and Ashanti regions of Ghana as we continue our resolve to impact lives, this year we are visiting;

YIRENKYIKROM:
A predominantly cocoa farming community with a population of about six hundred (600) people with a large children population, the community is about 10km from Sefwi Bekwai and has a borehole as its source of potable water, the source of its electricity is solar mounted community light system that brightens the community at night but not connected to individual houses. The community does not have a school as the one that was constructed with woods years ago has to be abandoned due to lack of teachers, this situation has left children of school going ages to travel 12km on foot to another community for their education.

ANOMATEWA:
Anomatewa is also another cocoa farming community with over 10 cottages and hamlets with settler farmers being part of the community. The community has a borehole as its source of potable water, it is connected to the national electricity grid and has a public school up to Junior High School though the school infrastructure is much dilapidated. The community with its adjoining cottages and hamlets has a population of about one thousand (1000) people.

SEFWI BEPOSO:
Perhaps the biggest of all the communities visited during this field trip, Beposo is located on the main Sefwi Bekwai – Juabeso road, the community has a population of over two thousand (2000) people who are mainly cocoa farmers, it is connected to the national electricity grid, has a borehole as its source of potable water and can boast of two basic schools up to Junior High School, a public and private school respectively.
Sefwi Beposo also has over ten (10) adjoining cottages and hamlets like Anomatewa.

DUMAKYI:
Dumakyi is the only community that we would be visiting in the Ashanti Region during this important community visitation trip, it is a scattered community made up of over 20 cottages and hamlets.
The inhabitants are mainly settler cocoa farmers, it has a school up to the Junior High School level, it is not connected to the national electricity grid and can boast of two borehole that was provided for them by a not for profit organization several years ago with one out of use.
Dumakyi has a large children population, one remarkable feature of this community is the danger of children crossing a bridge-less river to school daily, a situation that prevent a lot of the children from attending school when it rains.
